A special visit that brings alive the tastes, smells, colours, textures and sounds of the world of wine!
Winegrower Mickaël Garde welcomes you to Château Haut Goujon. Together, you visit his cousin Vincent Darnajou’s artisanal cooperage to see how the barrels are made and “toasted”. Listen to the crackling fire in the centre of the workshop, as the coopers heat the wood, smell the wood’s aromas, and feel its texture.
Back at Château Haut Goujon, there is a tour of the new vat room, the barrel cellar, and reception/tasting room. Finally, join Mickaël for a tasting of wines that he has made in Darnajou’s barrels, including his famous Cuvées Créatives, that offer an exciting new style of Lalande de Pomerol.
By appointment – Length: 1 hour 30 mins. – Price: 20€/pers.
Visit from January to July only on appointments – 4 to 8 people maximum
